The Challenge
At launch, TieDye had little to no presence on social media or on campus. The primary challenge was to build brand awareness from scratch and drive enough app downloads to create an active and engaged user base.
My Approach
My goal was to increase user acquisition through a combination of social media strategy and campus-focused outreach marketing. I was responsible for managing TieDye’s social media presence and developing its brand voice, with a focus on organic growth through shareable content on Instagram and TikTok.
In parallel, I led local outreach efforts by conducting targeted email campaigns to secure support from local businesses and expand TieDye’s visibility across campus.

Collaborations/ Giveaway
One of TieDye’s most successful partnerships was with Berkeley ShareTea, which sponsored TieDye’s game night event and provided giveaway prizes. The event attracted 389 attendees, and the associated giveaway resulted in 587 new enrollments, significantly boosting app awareness and user sign-ups.
